Groundbreaking Keyhole Aortic Surgery Saves Life at Arihant Multispeciality Hospital, Nagpur
Arihant Multispeciality Hospital has successfully performed a complex, life-saving surgery by repairing a large aortic aneurysm using an advanced minimally invasive technique. This process was done for the first time in Central India. A 57-year-old patient who had been experiencing severe back pain for a month was diagnosed with two large aortic aneurysms that were at serious risk of rupture.
After a thorough examination by Dr. Utkarsh Shah (Intensivist) and Dr. Mohammad Zuber (Interventional Radiologist), the patient was advised to undergo Fenestrated Endovascular Aortic Repair which is a modern technique that involves repairing blood vessels through a small keyhole incision thereby avoiding the need for open surgery.
The procedure was successfully performed under the guidance of Dr. Mohammad Zuber with the vital support of Dr. Utkarsh Shah and Dr. Parikshit Janai (Vascular and Plastic Surgeon).
